You can make it at home too, although it's been a while since I made some.

All it is is Ketchup and water, salt and black pepper and of course, sliced onions.

You cook it down until the sauce darkens slightly. I am not sure if you call it boiling or steaming (?). Wish I could give you more specifics on the amounts. :)

Mom use to make it for us way back when. I have made it only a couple of times myself.
