Not very much happened on SI during the 1965 blackout. Supposedly somebody at ConEd had enough warning time to disconnect from the rest of the power grid before SI went down as well. The first we knew about it was when all the NY TV stations went black. You could get Philadelphia TV stations (snowy) and of course many NJ radio stations. So, we were following the blackout on radio, but we weren't affected on SI (unless you were stuck in Brooklyn or Manhattan).
