This'll probably get me in trouble, but here goes:

I don't disagree with the above statement, but one thing I can say for sure is that most Germans, particularly the younger generation, are now fed up of paying for the Holocaust, some 50+ years down the road.
For how many more generations are Germans going to be expected to pay for? Germany is in a unique situation. The Russians certainly aren't paying a thing, Japan won't even officially apologize for their atrocities, and I don't recall the US paying surviving ancestors of Native Americans.
So how long is the German taxpayer going to get milked for?
