Here's the way I remember the World Series of 1956. Have I romanticized it over the years, or did this really happen?
I think that only one of the Brooklyns reached third base in the last three games of that series. Against Larson, of course, nobody got on base at all. The following day, only Jackie Robinson reached third, but he scored from there and the Dodgers won, 1-0. On the final day none of them got to third, but I forget who it was who shut them out. Maybe Ralph Terry?
