The Staten Island Yankees are making their home on the campus of the College of Staten Island until a new stadium is built at the waterfront in St. George (or Tompkinsville, I think). I saw the new ballfield at CSI yesterday and to my chagrin, the fence built around it is covered with green slats that prevent the viewing of the game without entrance through the gates. I suppose they have to make their buck, but it sort of ruins the "hometown" feel all of the politicos and PR people are trying to push down our throats so that we who work at or go to the College of Staten Island don't complain about the inconvenience of being late to class because of the traffic jams or the parking problems. Just my two cents!
