My astute barrister, there is also something called "common sense". It seems to me the "arena of juris prudence" is drifting further and further away from that premise.
If we put ourselves in the shoes of this youngster's parents, why in God's name would we want to go through all this inconvenience and expense because as you so stated someone with "clerk mentality" has wielded his/her club. There has to be someone above the "clerk" who could have overridden this matter without going through the "red tape" (and I'm not referring to an appellate court).
I understand where you are coming from, but I just can't buy it.
