Thanks for your incredibly vivid missive; I so enjoyed reading it. You don't really think it had nerve gas in it, do you? That was a joke, right? The sweet smell of it is something that I and others seem to remember so well. Inhaling all that sweet stuff seems like a metaphor for what was to come in some of our lives in the sixties and seventies, I guess.
It was as if heaven had descended upon
the pebble packed pavement and like
some Health Department Pied Piper, the
Mosquito Man, with his wondrous contraption, lured us with exotic rhythms
and promises of momentary ethereal bliss.
