I've tried twice to reply to this post but each time I get disconnected because it takes me more than thirty seconds to compose a reply.
The sum of it is that governments need money to operate, and they get it by taxing activities. The mail is an example. the Internet is a new example.
If you buy stamps (taxes) without complaint, why would you expect not to pay the freight for the governmental overhead necessary to support an internet environment?
