I'm a little younger; graduated Curtis in 1974.

But I lived on Curtis Place until 1968 and spent some time at Mahoney Playground (I had forgotton the name until your message!).

Unfortunately, the Jersey Street area became a war zone shortly after. I remember shopping with my mother on Jersey Street during the 60's. Angelo's Barber Shop; Ronenson's hardware store, A&P, Conte's produce market, Mrs.Ash's clothing store, couple of candy stores where I bought comics every week, Montalbano's Italian Deli. Also Jimmy's deli across from Curtis High.

Had some classmates who lived in the Jersey Street projects, but the neighborhood deteriorated quickly and we moved to West Brighton.
