I just received in today's mail a very welcome surprise gift. I have to tell you when I saw the return address I was really surprised. It was from THE STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE
itself. There is no card enclosed. I am led to believe someone who recently posted here sent in as a thank you for an answer I sent to her post via e-mail. If so I know she reads our posts and in this way I will thank her.
The surprise is a 1999 calendar. It contains so many pictures of old buildings and streets on Staten Island. I know all of you old timers will really enjoy one yourself.
I heartily reccomend you trying to get one for yourself and thank again to whomever sent it to me.
