The store with the horse out front to my Recollection was on Arthur Kill Road. Near the intersections of Bridge Street and Page Avenue and almost under the Outerbridge crossing. During my formative drinking days as this establishment was called the "White Horse" and was frequented by teenagers from New Jersey. Another establishment of this type in Tottenville was a roadhouse at the corner of Page Avenue and Hylan Blvd and burned to the ground during the late 50's or early 60's (name unknown). The name of the area for this 2nd bar is now called Butler Manor nad was also the site of a baseball field run by either the PAL or American Legion of Tottenville.
