Lets get really nostalgic now! Robert Sheridan FawCawnahs firstname.lastname@example.org
Speaking of oldies like Sweet Violets, which I also remember, there was one we used as a signal when we played cards on the stoops of FawCawnahs. The signal that you were going to slap your hand down, that you had the Ace, or sumptin' was to sing, for your partner's benefit, "Irene, Good Night, Irene, I'll see you in my dreams," then "Slam."
Last one down lost.
The game, I believe, was Old Maid.
High stakes. The loser got rapped on the knuckles with a solid deck of cards.
