4th of July Celebrations Marcene Daniels oldtimer email@example.com
Well I have not posted about my fourth but it was one odd day for me.
As I live where the family always gathered for a bar-b-q on this great holiday, it was not to be this year. I guess it was too painful for the kids without their dad on this the first one he would miss.
MY son, Bob, took over and held the family get together this year. I left before dark and drove home. I proceeded to put my feet up on the windowsill, turn back the window covering, lean back in John's reclining chair and watch the glorious firework display from my living room window! As it was the first Fourth of this millennium I guess it was the longest, most elaborate display the have ever had. I can see the area of the fair grounds from over tree tree tops out my window. So John, in your memory, I watched and missed you.
