~*~HAPPY FATHERS DAY~*~ Stanley J. Singer sjsinger firstname.lastname@example.org
You are right, my father was a great guy, and I know I loved him and he loved me but not being demonstrative I never did say, "I love you Dad until it was too late." After my Dad's funeral I ended my conversation with my Mother with the words, "I Love You" The first time it took her by surprise, but after a few moments she said, "Son, I Love you too, and you will never no how much".
It was my habit to say Goodnight to my wife and to say I love you every night, but after my son grew up and became a brain surgeon, I realized that I never said it to him. I remedied the situation with a telephone call that night and since that time, I have felt closer to him even though he lives in Virginia and I live in Texas.
I urge everyone to express their feelings for their spouses and children openly and freely. Today, Father's day, I received a call from Spain where my son and daughter in law are traveling on vacation, It ended with an exchange of I Love You and I never have felt better.
