The thing about it, Mimi, is for us it was. We saw the same kind of ads in 1986 and went with another couple. We were surprised at the security when we got there, especially me, since I had been there (not Sandals - Jamaica itself) in 1961. But inside the resort compound, they cater to your every whim. You're treated like royalty. Everything in the resort is included in the price. You really do leave your wallet in the room. The only things you pay for are in the gift shop or a tour. Food (all you can eat-all day long), drinks (all you can drink), daily and nightly entertainment all included. It was luxurious. It was a wonderful week, full of romance etc, even though we'd already been married for 13 1/2 years.
But my memories pale when I think of the anguish of George's family.
