Your right, otherwise its too painful and we would reject the memory. Every time I watch the landing I'm moved, especially by the sight of the kid who goes down just at edge of the water, he never fired a shot. a while back someone gave his name and said he was the first to die. Wish I could remember it. He no doubt was just out of high school. He did boot camp, trained in England, wrote home, feared the night before, probably cried and poof it was over. All because a little house painter with charisma convinced the German people that he had the answers.
