The Typing Class Marguerite Rivas sipoet firstname.lastname@example.org
Took typing with Miss Gold at Tottenville. All of the clicking and the clacking and the pressure got to me, so I had frequent anxiety attacks the minute I sat down to the typewriter. The teacher thought I was goofing off or stoned or something, but the truth is, that I would enter this free-floating semi-disassociative state the minute I got into the room. Boy, did I sweat that one out! I was so glad when word processors and computers replaced the typewriter because of the error factor. I can still picture revising and retyping draft after draft of my graduate school papers the first semester I attended. After that, I invested in an Apple IIc.
