yep, i agree with you. in fact some of the voice messages are confusing and if you hit the wrong button, ya gotta start all over again.
i run into this all the time here at work.
at home, i hang up and do what you do, i write them a note telling them what i thing of their computerized phone answering system.
a human being at the other end of the line not only is more professional, but can help you get to the right person quicker.
