We live where it snows 130"/yr. (mostly in the winter) and is delivered by 50+ mph winds off of the largest, coldest lakes in the world. Learned after the first winter, only shovel what absolutely needs to be shoveled i.e. in front of the outhouse door and a spot for the cat to piddle, and tie the cat on a tether or it will wind up in the next county. We just keep driving and walking on top of our friendly, flaky frost. Sometimes the ice builds up a ft. thick in the driveway.
Eskimo's are said to have 50 words to describe snow, we have only 6 or 7, Holy X#**#xx, God xx**#xx stuff, Son of a #**xx snow, the rest are not fit for a chat room.
