Software Help Dan Blaine DBLIVIT Assuming you are going to be using a Microsoft OS, be it 95, 98, NT or 2000, I would only go with Microsoft application software.

Although I consider Word Perfect, Quicken, Netscape, etc. far superior to the "plagarized" Microsoft also rans, Microsoft was smart enough to build the guts of their OS so that it penalizes "foreign" applications by causing system hangs, blue screens of death and other funny manifestations.

This has been my personal experience over the past few years...ever since Windows 95 was released.

So, bite the bullet and load only Microsoft apps!
