Somehow I think she is tellin da trooth. My grandpa used to eat a Norwegian Cheeze called "gamle Ost" which means old cheeze. It's a sheep cheeze and they say it is cured under sheep dung. It is yellowish brown and a little soft like limburger. Anyway you slice it, it smells like sh*t.
I tried some gamle ost once. If you can get it past your nose it tastes really good and savory. It's good with boiled egg and strong cawfee. Keep it in a glass jar with a tight lid and don't get any on your clothes or no one will talk to you.....ever.
