What happened to my country Harry White hrwhite leighnharry@earthlink.net Since the discovery of the "New World" and the founding of this country people have been welcome. During the process of making this nation English was selected as "our" language. For over two hundred years people from around the world have been welcomed. They spoke hundreds of different languages. No one asked them to give up their heritage or customs. They chose to become Americans and to learn English the language of The United States of America. I do not understand why the Spanish speaking people can not do the same. I'm sure that there are many legal Spanish speaking people who do learn English and work at being Americans. I am offended by the special treatment given to those Spanish speaking people. Love my country, learn my language.
