Congratulations! I've been going to school on and off for the past -- well, forever, I think. It's been painstaking -- I've taken care of my young children, worked part-time, studied part-time and had a whole lot of life changing events happen to me all the while. There were so many times that I almost quit -- there were times when I had no money for bridge tolls to get me there, times when I stayed up with a sick child and was afraid that I'd fall asleep on the road,
and there were times when I actually did fall asleep in the library. I guess what I'm trying to say is, having a diploma in your hand makes it feel worth it somehow. When you go back to school as an adult, I think you have a better appreciation for learning and for the sacrifices that school demands of you. I'm hoping for the best for you; maybe you can send some of those good academic vibes my way so I can get going on my doctoral dissertation and wear those robes next October.
All the best,
