I didn't attend any of your schools, however I did grow up in the 50's in New Brighton. Just a stone's throw from Stapleton. I have similar memories to those you depicted.
Actually I did go back just a few months ago and it was quite devastating; so I'll just stay with this new neighborhood and share my memories with folks like you.
