You've done a great job of describing one of my favorite stretches in the whole world! I've been thru there on both bicycle and motorcycle (only as far as Half-Moon bay on the pushbike) and you brought back a lot of great memories.
Steinbeck described this area and its' inhabitants the best, but Wm. Saroyan wasn't bad, either.
