Daylight Saving Time Ends at 2 AM Sunday, October 31

History of Daylight Savings:

First instituted by the British to save energy during World War I, Daylight Saving Time has become an institution for most of the United States. We don't really save daylight, of course, but we really do save energy. More natural light in the evening during the warmer months translates into less use of electricity, as well as fewer traffic accidents and less crime--rewarding returns for such a slight adjustment of schedule.
