Isn't it a shame that we have to change our way of life to accommodate the people that are causing the problem.
Been there done that, but unfortunately that's not the answer either. Last week , went to dinner at 9 PM and had the same problem with a couple with a screaming infant (about 1 1/2 years old). the kid screamed all through dinner and the parents never made a move to take the child outside or try to calm him down. What is a baby that age doing out in a restaurant that late anyhow?
Unfortunately, the child is misbehaved, but the parents are the real problem. I sent a note to a couple near us with one of these wonderful children it said "I believe in the barter system. I tolerate your misbehaved child, you pay for my meal." The father actually came over and apologized to us and said that it never dawned to them what an annoyance that the child's behavior was to other people trying to enjoy their meal.
Well at least it was a beginning.
