I disagree.

You are trying to do exactly that. You had no problem funding the art when it agreed with - and did not go against your sexual, religious or other belief systems.

Once you determined the art was not in keeping with your moral code or your ethics, you then decide that you don't want to fund the art, thereby dictating what is or is not considered art.

You choose to fund an art, then you fund it all. You don't pull the plug when it gets uncomfortable. If you choose not to attend the event, then that is your choice.

Living dab-smack in the center of the bible belt, I listen to people on a daily basis proclaim themselves under one lump sum "Christian". From what I understand, the "Christian" way is not to place judgment. Yet that is exactly what is going on here. You are judging the art - and the artist.
