1. The ice Cream Factory - I was thinking of Seduttos but Dans' anser of Weissglass is also correct. I wish I could get a tortoni like they used to make right now!
2. Best Ices? Ralphs on Richmond Ave in Port Richmond - they were worth the trip from Stapleton! My favorite was 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 orange.
3. The Old PS14? Can't remember the side street but it was at the corner of Broad, near the firehouse and in back of the Stapleton Library. Anyone remember Willie's deli? Used to see him and his wife but haven't seen anyone for the past few years from the old town.
5. Valhalla - Amboy Road, now renamed Oceanview. I refuse to call it that, I like Valhalla better. Even if it is from the religion of a people who aren't even buried there.
6. The Girl Scouts owned HighRock. I remember meeting Carlton there, maybe for a nature trip or some kind of ceremony. Never camped there, by the time I was old enough, they had sold it.
Have fun with SI Nostrivia #11, will try to check this site during the rest of the week but am leaving for a short trip to Florida (mini vacation - have to be back for school) and then to Louisville, KY for work. My manager doesn't care that I don't have a laptop to sign on when I'm away. Boo to him!
