SubTitle: Does anyone remember?

No not the bicentenial in 1976 - this was the 300 year anniversary of Staten Island Dating back to the 1600's. I must have been only about 8 or 9 but I distinctly remember a huge parade in Dongan Hills, Hylan Blvd. around Seaview Avenue. Am I halucinating or was there such a celebration???
