It is alway amazing how the mind works. I just remembered one of my biggest gripes as a kid. I was the eldest of three girls. I did have an older brother. Mother had all four of us in the span of four years so we girls were and still are, LOL, very close in age.

I being the eldest was the first one to go out into the world and earn any money. So, naturally, I was able to add to the basic wardrobe of clothes and costume assessories as jewelry, nylons, hats, bags etc. It seems the old expression my mother used was, "First one up, First one dressed", included the dissappearance of many of my prized possessions.

Many a day, getting up to go out an item could not be found. Of course the sisters in question would deny any knowledge of seeing said item.

Well my younger sis Francene had her picture in the Staten Island Advance as the new class president at McKee and guess what? She not only had on a very pretty smile, but two items of mine.
