It always was Halloran Hospital. They only changed it to Willowbrook when the state took it over as an institution. Is your mother still alive? Mine passed away at eighty after a life of service to any and all who could use her help. She was well known on the island for her availability when there was a disaster be it personal or public. I remember in the depression she and dad would go down St. George to the Red Cross and bring hiome dozens of cut out mens shirts. Dad who learned to sew in WW1 in the Navy, would sew them together and my mom would make every buttonhole by hand and they would sit together and listen to the radio and make dozen after dozen. We never went anywhere that some one would greet her like a long lost relative. Our house was an open spot for many that got free food when we were struggling ourselves at times. Marcene
