The earliest "AH-BEETZ" I remember was Nunzio's when they had a place under the boardwalk ramp by May's hotel. It was a dime a slice and next to it one could buy beer by the quart in white cardboard containers that looked like the ones you got "Manhattan" style Clam chowder to go at Semler's in PrinceSS bay or Lunde's at Sheepshead Bay.

P.S. Never mind crumb buns...do they put milk in the clam chowder on the West Coast? (like they do everywhere except the NYC area?)
