There were two airports out that way, SI Airport, where they had a golf driving range, baseball batting cage, and later the Farmers Market, and later Korvette's. Across the avenue was Donovan-Hughes. I was a little kid and my dad took flying lessons there, as did my uncle. I sat in my uncle's lap steering a Piper Cup and watched my dad solo. Mom made him cut that stuff out when the 3rd kid came along which always seemed a shame until I had kids of my own. As Blaine points out, it's amazing how smart your parents get as you get older. Bob.
