I remember that when John got his first car, a 1934 pt 5 Ford Coupe with white wall tires, he painted regularly, that was where we would drive rain or snow, to get hot dogs. They really snapped when you bit into them. I have children now who are in their fifties who remember when we would drive from California to visit their grandmother still on old S.I. we would take them to Al Deppes to get one. Also a favorite Sunday afternoon pastime was to drive there and spend an hour or so to watch the planes take off and land at an airport along Richmond Ave before you got to Deppes. Marcene
