Do any of you young whipersnappers realize that before Whillowbrook was there it was an army hospital? It was a big one and most of the first cosmetic surgery was done there to improve the faces of the disfigured soldiers. There were German POW'S working there too. My mother worked as a hostess in the officer's club as their were doctrors and nurses using it and I guess they needed some shaperoning etc. All the big movie stars and stage stars visited the patients there and of course used the club and some stories could be told. What a neighborhood party we had in our yard when the war ended. Marcene
