1. Name of a great place to ice skate in Great Kills?
2. Who was it who used to call her kids home from Ice Skating for
lunch or dinner with the use of a police whistle?
3. What was the name of the little red device that was attached to
a red flag attached to a short wooden handle and could usually be
found stuck into the rafters of the roof over the S.I.R.T. platform
in Great Kills? Hint: When attached to a rail, it would surely stop
the next train that ran over it?
4. What was the name of the policeman who lived in Bay Terrace who
was awakened by the sound of a T.V. set in his living room, who walked
into that living room and shot the T.V. set and nearly wounded everyone
in front of the exploding/imploding T.V. set?
5. Cub Scout Pack #41 and Boy Scout Troop #41 were named after the
street address of the pack/troop leader's street address (41). The
address was 41 Dent Rd., Great Kills. Who was the Leader?
6. What was the largest form of wildlife (and possibly the most
dangerous if you messed with it) that lived where we used to ice skate
in Great Kills in the 1940s & 1950s?
