I was going to wait another day or so for the answers, but Ken's answers to #15 caused me to laugh out loud (LOL)!!
But first the other stuff.
1. Famous Explorer. Absolutely right. John Charles Fremont. Fremont Ave is in Grant City. I think Fremont lived his last years in Clifton.
2. SI airport. Right again. Right near the Drive-in.
3. Boy Scout Camp in upstate NY. Ten Mile River was the complex. Each borough had a camp. SI's was Camp Aquehonga. You guys were right again.
4. 69th street ferry. Come on guys, this was a trick question. The answer is 69th street.
5. Now the fun. First Babe Ruth League Field. The year was 1955. Ken, you're gonna' choke. I am too, for not getting yours. See Kens Nostrivia #15. It's the same field. Go to my home page at
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/5922
and you will see a picture of it with my ball team. Go to the bottom of the page. I apologize for it being slow. I'm working on a new faster page.
I'm embarassed to say I can't remember all the players names. I didn't write them down and I've forgotten several. I apologize to them, but here's who I do remember.
A question mark means I can't recall.
