1. Monroe Eckstein. On manor Rd & the Expressway. The original building still stands. It's now a mall. R & H, became Piels in 1954 on Canal St in Stapelton. Bechtel at the corner of Broad and VanDuzer. Became Goggi's Winery, The Hoffbrau and the Caves. Bachmann Brewing in Tompkinsville. Wher the A & P is now. Was run by Garibaldi (See Nostrivia 16)
2. The Old Mill was at the intersection of Clove & Hylan (was a circle in the 50s)There is a bank ther now, accross from the Country Club diner. It burned about 1956
3. Goldwynn Field was at the corner of Clark & Amboy. The Pathmark shopping center is ther now. The Dutchman was on clark behind the field. It was speakeasy during prohibition.
4. Shoal's was the dock at the end of Nelson. It's now a townhouse complex
