Sure couldn't Dan; sainthood is not one of my aspirations. Too bad all of our exalted leaders are human beings; so why do we raise them up as paragons, only to get busy tearing them down the moment they're elected. Often in times of scandale d'amour I wonder how the French would react, and I imagine they wouldn't react at all, or would react as you suggest. Best example being the recent funeral of the French leader. Wife in the procession, mistress in the procession, along with their lovely daughter, all showing their respect to their loved one.
A recent cartoon had the preacher asking the couple at the altar he was about to marry, "And do you each promise never to love anyone else so long as you each shall live?" I think we've got to allow for a certain amount of basic humanity in a lot of the things we do. This is not a license to steal. -rs-
