Must have missed your barb about the fog, Salty, or would have said something. We love the fog. When it ain't around this place is uncomfortably warm and the air dirty. The reason is that the only time we lose the fog and get the sun is when there's a high pressure inland over the Central Valley. This means the hot valley air, where there's usually no fog, escapes from the Valley balloon and lands on us, with all it's exhaust fumes, farm dust, and brown layers. Then we pray for the fog, which comes in clean off the Pacific. We get the purest air in the country. Hard to get much done when it's too warm. The fog is the free airconditioning. I'll admit to hating it at first and swearing I'd never live in it 'cause I liked the beach and wanted sun, but now I've changed my tune, as you can see. Sailors and fishermen like the fog because it represents calm seas around here, relatively. When it's clear, it's windy. Well, this is enuf of the old fog from me for now.
