The recent post on the SI Ferries mentioned where the person was when she heard of JFK's shooting. Any other SI'ers remember where they were when yhey heard the news.
I was a HS senior coming home from school. I was on the 109 bus & we were on Bay Street and had just made the right "turn" pass Robbins Reef to go on the road that was parallel and above Bay St. (Sorry, I can't remember the Street's name). Someone on the bus had a portable radio and shouted out the news. Natually, nobody believed him, since we were trying to get friendlier with some of the HS girls on the bus.
It wasn't till I got home that we found out the truth. Sad day
