That's what I said. Capri was a tourist trap. We (wife and I, she joined me overseas for about 2 months) did go to the cave, but I don't remember what it cost. This was 1969. I do remember Lire was about 600 to the $. After seeing the Grotto (it was pretty), we learned enough to take our swimming trips to Ischia. A complete dinner was about a dollar there, while one was $5 or more on Capri. Did you get to Pompeii or Herculaneum? Great sights to see there! (If you like history). Also some pretty blue artwork. The old Romans did enjoy their orgies!
