I could be considered an old timer from SI except I don't live there any more! Born[1943] and raised on the South Shore. We bought our turkey in the A&P on Amboy Rd in Great Kills. I can remember shopping in the "village' [Great Kills], for Christmas gifts and enjoying the Christmas displays of lights and music. I am thankful for my family of course, and that I lived in a more simple time and place, when all of Staten Island was a 'village."
