SubTitle: Give Thanks
Posted by: rs on 11/22/1997@20:26hrs:
Hi Guys, it's Thanksgiving Week. On Old SI we'd go out into the wood and shoot a turkey with an old flintlock. Then modern times came along and we'd go to the Acme and the Safeway. But Mom would stuff the bird and the family would gather 'round and we'd eat until there was no more room. Relatives would come over or we would go over there. Now we're scattered to the four winds. In SF we'll get together and see our old friends. Funny thing is that our old friends in SF are our old friends from SI, the ones who dragged us out here. Dan, I know they celebrate Christmas, and probably even Easter where you are in Stuttgart. But what do the Chermans do about Thanksgiving? They must give thanks for something, altho' I'm dam*ed if I can think of what. But a lot of time has passed and they may have tumbled onto something. What does the rest of the world have to be thankful for. I would be interested to hear. thx. -rs-
