Ah,
You have ID'd a 6th fleet sailor. I made many trips to both Ischia and Capri. On both the old slow boats and the hydro-planes. This was in 1969. I was on a 9 month Med cruise aboard USS JFK. Napoli was almost our home-port away from home.
Charlie P.S. Ischia was better, that's where the Italians went. Capri was a tourist trap. The only thing there was the Blue Grotto.
