Ha! That's a laugh; what would you do if you were up to your ears in garbage.
I'll admit to feeling a little frustrated at the limited number of visitors who carve their initials in the tree. People you had no use for as a kid now seem welcome guests now that we've more or less grown up, probably less. The way I look at it, we're at a cocktail party and someone else just walked into the room and the conversation. We happen to be talking about old times, Four Corners, the Beach, the Ferry, Curtis, Tottenvillains, and whatnot from the old days without boring each other stiff when one of us goes over to the bar for a refill. So the conversation switches to something else, Huguenot, or South Beach, and goes off in another direction. So, no big deal. Meanwhile, others check out the party and either come in or move in, probably to a younger group of sexier people, although I want to assure one and all you will not find a sexier ex-Staten Islander of a certain age in all of San Francisco. And let me tell you, in SF this counts for a lot. So, we'll keep posting and see who drops into the room. As to the other half-million or so, see you at the beach on the Fourth of July or Labor Day. You're all welcome. It would be nice if you said "Hello" however, just to let us know you are still alive. Anyone still alive out there? Out there? Out there?...
