Bob: I do remember James Corbett as the principal, but I think my first year at Curtis ('53) the principal was a Mr. Advent(?) who retired and was replaced by Corbett.

Stereotypes-good point: do real teachers really reflect the roles played by actors on TV and in movies? Who out there can remember "real" teachers that reflect the characters played by:(for example)

Mr Peepers (Wally Cox), Our Miss Brooks (Eve Arden), Mr. Novak (James Franciscus), "The Dead Poet's Society" (Robin Williams), "The Paper Chase" (John ?), "Stand and Deliver" (?), "Goodby, Mr. Chips" (?), (?) (Nick Nolte), (?) (James Belushi)...there's a bunch more...see if you can match up a "real teacher" from your school days with one of the fictional ones!...DAN
