Advance paperboy, sellin' Christmas cards and many other odd jobs like
cleaning walks when it snowed. The Best job was during my High School
days I helped deliver milk for the South Shore Dairy.
Worked two - three days a week during the school year and every day
during the summer. Money was good, payed for my school expenses and
clothes, especially the styles not formally approved by my folks.
Learned the South Shore from New Dorp to Tottenville like the back of
my hand. We all have heard the imfamous "Milk Man" stories none of
which happened to me. I was placed in situations where there were a
few close calls, but I remained a pure as the milk we picked up at
Wiseglass at 0330 in the morning. Many Father's highly approved of
me returning their young daughters at 8 PM due to my early job hours.
Some most likly went on another date the same evening! I had some
money a car, but not the time to be dangerous.
