Anyone remember Mel Selznick at JHS 27???('62-64?) I spent quite a bit of time in his office for one infraction or another....usually he'd tell me to just stay until the teacher cooled down, but there were those occassions that Mom was called.....I won't discuss those though. Then there was Lou Rappaport....Senior English at PRHS('64-68)....so handsome.....first teacher that treated us like adults....no one ever cut his class cause he was so good. Speaking of muti generational teachers we had a few at PRHS...Mr. Telefsen(sophomore english), my dad had him in PRHS then I did....so old he shook with Parkinsons...not fond memories of that class. Also Ms. Hanisch....girls PE teacher, left over from my fathers generation. My craziest teacher by far was Beatrice Milner!!!French Teacher PRHS....every year threatened to jump out the 3rd story window because we were such rotten students...rumor has it that someone actually put a chair at the window for her but she never did jump!! I haven't thought about these folks in a while, Thanks NosTrivia fans.....
